How I began
Nick Austin was born on April 2nd, 1994, in Worcester, Massachusetts, and raised in the nearby town of Southbridge, Massachusetts. He hails from a Greek and Scottish background. Austin attended Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School, and upon graduating in 2012, he received the "class comedian" superlative, which he credits as the catalyst that "led me to pursue a career as an actor." Following high school, he commenced classes at Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester, earning his associate's degree in general studies during the summer of 2014. After completing his degree, Austin initially planned to further his education. While pursuing his studies, he worked at Sherwin-Williams. Later, he decided to enroll in Nichols College for the 2015 spring semester but withdrew after the first day of classes to embark on his journey as an actor.
Austin's career took flight in Providence, Rhode Island, where he served as an unpaid extra on the feature film "Bleed for This," an epic biopic about boxer Vinny Paz. The opportunity arose while Austin was in Providence training students at Providence College with his boxing trainer. Hearing about the film needing extras for a large scene at the Dunkin' Donuts Center, Austin seized the chance. Initially focusing on extra roles in films, his journey led him to Upstate New York, where he connected with a local casting director and acting coach. The then 22-year-old found his way into the audition room, securing his first commercial for a regional health insurance company in Hartford, Connecticut. Heavily involved in classes and coaching, Austin left his job at the paint company in July 2017 to fully embrace his acting career. With valuable experience, he relocated to South Florida after signing with his agent, landing his first national commercial in Miami, Florida. Several successful projects later, Austin returned to Massachusetts in 2020, reestablishing himself.
While working at the University of Connecticut for UPS as a seasonal helper, Austin regained his confidence and composure. The year 2020 started well for him with work in New York City, followed by a journey to Dubai for a feature film. In late 2020, Austin secured a series of ads, propelling him into the new year. 2021 began on a high note in Florida for him and continued into 2022. As he moves forward into the future, Austin's actions are propelling him toward a multitude of endless endeavors.
